Complementary Technologies to Achieving True End-to-end Security

Wednesday, July 10th, 2019
15:30 PM – 17:30 PM
Level39, One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AB

Secure Chorus will be hosting a member-only Thought Leadership Platform addressing the development of a bespoke hub infrastructure for Secure Chorus’ members that are developers of communication applications that include MIKEY-SAKKE open cryptography standard, as well as Secure Chorus’ interoperability standards.

Any such communication application needs to be managed by one or more Key Management Servers (KMSs). Separate user groups of such products would be managed by separate KMSs and operate on separate Internet Protocol (IP) networks. In order to support communication across KMSs and across IP networks, the users’ IP networks must be connected with one-another, and their KMS must exchange KMS Certificates.

The interconnection between each KMS can be done as a fully decentralised Peer-2-Peer (P2P) network, where each ‘peer’ is a KMS.

A hub would be managed by one or more entities that provides a single interconnection point – offering an alternative to a P2P for data handling. There could be any number of hubs, and use of these hubs by vendors or by specific user groups managing a KMS is optional.
