Elisabetta Zaccaria, founder of Secure Chorus, highlighted in SC Media UK’s 2019 top ‘50 Women of Influence in Cyber Security’

Congratulations to our founder Elisabetta Zaccaria, who has been named as one of the top ‘Women of Influence in Cyber Security’ for 2019. The list is published by SC Media UK and is widely-acknowledged as one of the most important and authoritative accolades for women in the security workplace. It can be found at:

SC Media UK annually highlights 50 women that exert the most significant impact on the cybersecurity industry in the UK. They are recognised for their influence and achievements as both experts and role models, paving the way for other cybersecurity professionals, either through advocacy for the cause of women in the industry, or simply by being at the top of their field.

Elisabetta is a cybersecurity industry veteran with a track record of success spanning more than 15 years as an entrepreneur, C-level executive and consultant in the information and communication technology (ICT), cybersecurity and defence and national security industries.

Her inclusion on the SC Media UK list comes in relation to her role as chief strategist in designing and delivering the transformation of Secure Chorus, which has played a key role in supporting the UK National Cyber Security Centre’s mission to make “the UK the safest place to live and do work on line.” The importance of Secure Chorus is underlined by the fact that since 2016 the UK Government has renewed its commitment every year to fund Secure Chorus as part of its £1.9bn transformation investment in the ‘UK’s National Cyber Security Strategy 2016-2021’.

Elisabetta founded Secure Chorus in 2016 and served as its executive Chairman between September 2016 and October 2019. She now serves as advisor to the board of directors of Secure Chorus.

“I am honoured to be included in SC Media UK’s top ‘50 Women of Influence in Cyber Security’ for 2019. It is of great importance to me personally that more women become aware of the career opportunities available to them in cybersecurity. I am also delighted that this recognition casts light on Secure Chorus and its members’ mission to achieve strong public and private sector cooperation to fight cybercrime.” Elisabetta Zaccaria, founder Secure Chorus

Her inclusion in the SC Media UK list of top women influencers and achievers in the cybersecurity sector follows an earlier public acknowledgement of Elisabetta’s work with Secure Chorus. In July 2019 she was featured in the book ‘Women Know Cyber: 100 Fascinating Females Fighting Cybercrime’, published by the San Francisco (USA)-based Cybersecurity Ventures.
