Elisabetta Zaccaria, founder of Secure Chorus, highlighted in CW ‘Most Influential Women in UK Tech: The 2020 longlist’

SECURE CHORUS, 2ND JULY 2020

Congratulations to our founder Elisabetta Zaccaria, who has been named as one of the ‘Most Influential Women in UK Tech: The 2020 longlist’ by Computer Weekly for the second year in a row!

Each year, Computer Weekly as part of its commitment to shining a light on the female technology role models throughout the UK, publishes the list. This year’s list can be found at:

“I am honoured to be included in CW’s ‘Most Influential Women in UK Tech: The 2020 longlist’, but most importantly I am delighted to see how the list has grown from 360 in 2019 to 430 women this year, which shows the tech sector’s progress towards gender diversity in leadership.” said Elisabetta Zaccaria, founder Secure Chorus. “But there is much more we need to do on the complex subject of diversity. The UK tech sector must become more open to racial and ethnic minorities, other nationalities, different socioeconomic and academic backgrounds and neurodiversity. These minority groups and many more are still not even a small part of the overall narrative. Diversity and innovation walk hand in hand!”

Elisabetta sets a trailblazing example for diversity in cybersecurity in the broadest possible sense. She has broken several ceilings in her industry: first, she has risen to the top of an industry in which women are under-represented; second, she studied law and international relations, an unconventional academic background for this industry in which engineering and computer science dominate; and third, as a foreign national, she was invited to contribute to the national cyber security strategies of several countries.

Throughout her career, Elisabetta has been a truly inspiring leader with a compelling vision for a safer digital world. She has been the recipient of several awards and honours throughout her carrier to date. She also featured as a prominent woman in cyber-security in numerous UK and international media outlets. She is a recognised speaker, author and regular contributor to international information technology and business publications.
