Membership Levels

Secure Chorus Ltd is a global, not-for-profit organisation which is open to membership from any organisation interested in interoperability standards for the secure communication industry.

There are three classes of membership open to applicants: Government Member, Partner Member and Associate Member. The eligibility criteria, rights and privileges of each of these memberships shall be as specified in the Articles of Association and the Membership Application Form of the Company. A body corporate can only hold one membership.  No party shall hold more than one membership in Secure Chorus.

Partner Member

Criteria:

A company incorporated under the Companies Acts or any other body corporate which at the time of its application is (i) offering Secure Chorus Compliant Products, services and/or infrastructure; or (ii) developing, manufacturing or selling Secure Chorus Compliant Products; or (iii) having a 500 or more user base utilising a Secure Chorus Compliant Product, service or infrastructure; or (iv) providing assistance in the establishment and development of an eco-system to support Secure Chorus Compliant Products enabling them to be sustainable and trusted by the market, such assistance may include:

  1. advice on the technical content of the Standards;
  2. Standards authorship and development;
  3. Client and gateway review services, including accreditation; or
  4. Inter-operability testing and measurement.

Benefits:

  • Organisation’s name included in the Secure Chorus’ Register of Members
  • Entitled to send representatives to attend and vote at general meetings of Secure Chorus
  • Vote on appointment of directors of Secure Chorus’ board
  • Vote on appointment of chairperson of Secure Chorus’ committees
  • Eligible to serve on Secure Chorus’ board of directors as non-executive director
  • Eligible to join Secure Chorus’ committees and advisory groups
  • Right to use Secure Chorus’ technical standards and use cases. This includes access to pre-publication drafts of internal documents through the committees and technical working groups as well as the opportunity to review and comment on new standards prior to their adoption
  • Right to participate in committees, advisory groups and technical working groups to help create and influence the use cases, technical standards and marketing materials
  • Right to use Secure Chorus’ interoperability program to qualify products and services, including the right to access any Secure Chorus testing infrastructure during development
  • Right to participate in Secure Chorus’ plugfests for cross vendor interoperability testing
  • Invitation to attend and participate in Secure Chorus member-only meetings as well as teleconferences for the various committees and technical working groups
  • Priority placement and advertising at Secure Chorus’ events, shows, etc.
  • Opportunity to keynote at Secure Chorus’ events
  • Company logo highlighted on Secure Chorus’ website and company’s Twitter feed included on the News page
  • Public acknowledgement at Secure Chorus’ events such as corporate logo displays
  • Access to speaking opportunities at industry events
  • Demonstrate Secure Chorus Compliant Products at meetings, tradeshow booths, and other Secure Chorus’ events
  • Right to use Secure Chorus marketing material internally and externally
  • Free Secure Chorus marketing kits: signs, brochures, etc.

Government Member

Criteria:

A supranational organization or national government able to: (i) have a 500 or more user base utilising a Secure Chorus Compliant Product, service or infrastructure; or (ii) provide assistance in the establishment and development an eco-system to support Secure Chorus Compliant Products enabling them to be sustainable and trusted by the market, where such assistance may include:

  1. advice on the technical content of the Standards; and
  2. Standards authorship and development;

Benefits:

  • Organisation’s name included in the Secure Chorus’ Register of Members
  • Entitled to send representatives to attend and vote at general meetings of Secure Chorus
  • Vote on appointment of Directors of Secure Chorus’ board
  • Vote on appointment of chairperson of Secure Chorus’ committees
  • Eligible to join Secure Chorus’ committees and advisory groups

Associate Member

Criteria:

A company incorporated under the Companies Acts or any other body corporate that is (i) committed to developing Secure Chorus Compliant Products, services and/or infrastructure within an Agreed Period; or (ii) committed to developing, manufacturing or selling products related to Secure Chorus Compliant Products within an Agreed Period; or (iii) committed to developing a 500 or more user base of a Secure Chorus Compliant Product, service or infrastructure within an Agreed Period.

Benefits:

  • Organisation’s name included in the Company’s Register of Members
  • Entitled to send representatives to attend general meetings of Secure Chorus
  • Right to use Secure Chorus’ technical standards and use cases. This includes access to pre-publication drafts of internal documents through the committees and technical working groups as well as the opportunity to review and comment on new standards prior to their adoption
  • Right to use Secure Chorus’ interoperability program to qualify products and services, including the right to access any Secure Chorus testing infrastructure during development
  • Right to participate in Secure Chorus’ plugfests for cross vendor interoperability testing
  • Invitation to attend and participate in Secure Chorus member-only meetings as well as teleconferences for the various committees and technical working groups

Observer Status

Observer Status is granted by Secure Chorus to non-members to give them an ability to participate in the organisation’s activities. The eligibility criteria, rights and privileges of observer status shall be as specified in the Articles of Association and the Membership Application Form of the Company.

Criteria:

Entities such as regulators, academic institutions, standards organisations or trade associations committed to assisting and/or promoting the Company within an Agreed Period.

Benefits:

  • Right to use Secure Chorus’ technical standards and use cases. This includes access to pre-publication drafts of internal documents through technical working groups as well as the opportunity to review and comment on new standards prior to their adoption
  • Right to use Secure Chorus’ interoperability program to qualify products and services, including the right to access any Secure Chorus testing infrastructure during development
  • Right to attend as observers Secure Chorus’ plugfests for cross vendor interoperability testing
  • Priority placement and advertising at Secure Chorus’ events, shows, etc.
  • Opportunity to keynote at Secure Chorus’ events
  • Company logo highlighted on Secure Chorus’ website and company’s Twitter feed included on the News page
  • Public acknowledgement at Secure Chorus’ events such as corporate logo displays
